Many of us are aware of the major earthquake in Haiti. The 7.0 magnitude earthquake, along with several severe aftershocks, centered 10 miles from Port-au-Prince and destroyed much of the capital, leveling thousands of structures including hospitals, homes, offices buildings, churches and schools.

I have received calls asking what we (Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. - 12th District) can do to assist.  The country of Haiti is in immediate need of cash donations, food, clothes and water. Below I have listed five organizations excepting cash donations and where to submit or request survivor information.

It is my understanding the Fraternity will roll out an assistance program soon. However, families in Haiti can not wait, we can do something now.    Please share this email with Brothers in the District/Fraternity.    Thank you in advance for your support and helping the many families in Haiti.
